Thursday night I met up with Yoshiko and Tetsuo in Korakuen near where Kodo would be playing. Both are going well, although I think they are forgetting their English and I'm forgetting my Japanese. I'm testing livejournals email posting since I'm lacking internet access right now. I've gotten a lot faster at text messaging since I've been in Japan. The search continues
I found a lovely apartment last week, great location for me, large and with a lot of small details I loved, but I finally came to the realization it's just too expensive. Searching for a place to live in Japan is certainly a lot more difficult then the US. Price varies a LOT by location in the city, nearness to a station and even which lines you ( Read more... ) -
In Tokyo
So I finally made it Tokyo and started work. I guess it was last Wednesday night I arrived and had some trouble checking into the place I'm staying since their office was already closed. Con season starts again
I'm going to be busy the beginning of this year. This weekend I'm off to Fanime to work with ZZ, Mechanical Panda and Crack 6. My flight out is bright and early at 6:30 AM. Probably not the best way to start out what is likely to be a sleepless weekend. I'm little nervous working a convention that I've never been to before. I do love this type ( Read more... ) -
Playing in the snow again
Spur of the moment, but I'm leaving tonight to go back to Colorado tonight for another 4 days of snow boarding. Really looking forward to it. 3 days of classes and hopefully by then I'll have a better idea of what I'm doing. The 8 year olds won't be putting me to shame this time. It's been a while, but I had a really good night tonight. After bowling this afternoon I set off to explore some of the places in Dallas I've been meaning to go to. A good friend of mine's band is playing this Friday night. The place is nearby Campbell and Preston, free parking and no cover. I know I haven't seen some of you in a long long time. Come out if you can, if not I'd like to get together with you sometime.
