It's been a while *sigh*

Just finished this a few hours ago because I couldn't work on it anymore. I had to paint the BG three times because Painter 6 kept screwing up, so I decided to keep it very simple, but the empty landscape sort of works for this particular piece (and I'm not saying that to make excuses for myself).

Thanks :) She turned out a little older than was my intention, but I think it definitely works here, and I was definitely going for a profile that I can associate with a Black.

The colours are spectacular and really set the mood.

I was forever trying to decide whether to include the rose, or not, and whether I should expand my colour palette, but as I've mentioned, the blue gives the painting a certain mood I wanted to convey, and it puts focus on the character, aided by the rose :)

Thank you! The dress is a lot more complicated than it actually looks ^^ But I guess that's the evil of re-sizing for 'net purposes, a lot of the detail get lost in compression, so I'm really glad you mentioned it :)

MY GOD. You are amazing, always. I adore your CG skillz of d00m, and the cool colours and softness and the contrast between the flower in her hair and the rest of the picture... Oooh... -faints-

The colour blue (which I usually associate with cold/coldness) brought out the emptiness of the landscape (the canvas is actually wider than what I eventually posted, where you can definitely see this strange, tilted landscape). Of course, the rose puts focus on the character, but I was forever debating about whether the shocking pink would work, or not ^^

Tonks looks beautiful.
Her apperance of the dress she's wearing, her black hair, and the flower pinned up in her hair makes her look beautiful.
