I agree with you on Napoleon Dynamite. Twenty minutes through, I ejected the tape. Why all the hype? WHY.

I'm listnening to a whole lotta Klezmer right now... well, technically Hungarian music, but whatever (Muzikas... good band)

Yeh, I would have given up on Napoleon Dynamite very quickly too, except that 1) I wanted to give it a chance as SO many people had loved it... though now I kinda feel like asking each and every one of them for that 2 hours of my life back 2) My mom watched it with me and stopping the video would have been admitting defeat after I had made her rent it somewhat against her will and based on numerous recommendations (ok, it wasn't HORRIBLE, but just so boring and IMMENSELY overrated)

Hey, I have a single song of theirs on my computer, and it's called "Khosid Wedding Dance." It's got pep. So how did that shit end? I barely got the premise of it, so whatever, it might not even make sense to me.

Yes, muzikas is certainly all about the pep... oh, anyone who chooses my "not a word of english cd" will get a nice little package of 5 muzikas songs (for that whole cd gift thingy, im doing 5 different cds and making a whole lotta copies and i'll give maybe 3 out of the 5 per person... one of the choices is "not a word of english"... a lot of klezmer, some spanish tunes, an indian rap song, arabian dance music, even one song in japanese... who would have thought there's japanese music .... more details later when i actually finish making em)

Yeh, the movie just kinda stopped at some point, it was going nowhere, and decided to stop abruptly before it got there.

I'm fucking pissed that they're remaking willy wonka. the preview makes me want to punch myself in the face. and I don't understand the point of remaking a movie that everyone loved in the first place. I refuse to see it.

... I DO want to see 'revenge of the sith', though.

I can't stand it when people run into the camera, it looks so cheap and dumb. I hate the willy wonka trailer if only just for that transgression.

however, yay! jon stewart and david sedaris!

Normally I would agree with you... remakes are usually stupid, the only remakes i've actually kind of liked recently are of movies I'd never seen (Ocean's Eleven, Dawn of the Dead, probably something else)... and I loved Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka... I was also a big Roald Dahl man growing up (James and the Giant Peach rocked my world, and Matilda turned it upside down and kicked it a little)... but with Tim Burton at the helm, it's bound to be a fairly different and interesting experience... plus Johhny Depp is just awesome in every way... and the really adorable kid from Finding Neverland is playing Charlie, so I hope for good things ( ... )
