- I wish that I knew more about or had a deeper connection to Johnny Carson.

- To be perfectly honest, I never saw the man actually working...I only saw Dana Carvey's hilarious impersonation of him on SNL

-However, regardless, a comic legend has passed and he will be missed.

Yeh, me too... and I only know Ed McMahon from Phil Hartman, but even from the little clips of the actual Johnny Carson I've seen,I can see the mastery. Rodney Dangerfield and Johnny Carson within only a few months... where have all the laughs gone.

we had a tribute to him on the announcements this morning. it was a nice moment of silence for johnny.

A well deserved moment of silence. Though I've always thought comedians, comic legends should be commemorated with a moment of uproarious laughter... but apparently that's "disrespectful."
