Today we're celebrating the JOURNALVERSARY. Yes, folks, it's been ten years since a wee 17-year-old Laurie crawled onto the Internet and began documenting her life on black backgrounds with white text and creepy red links. So I love that I remember reading this entry perhaps nine years ago when I first found you. Ridiculous. You know what's also ridiculous? The fact that you should really be at AWP in February. Mhm.

awesome! I remember starting a journal on my own UGA "arches" website, before realizing there were new websites starting up to support the idea of "blogging". I moved all of those old entries to livejournal. An angelfire 'mirror' of my old website is still up I think.

eep! has it really been that long? I started reading your journal in 1998 I think...it was before you graduated high school, anyway. I remember admiring you from afar and thinking you were so cool, haha (I still think you're pretty awesome now, actually!) You're one of the only people I keep up with from back then...I've always been a fan of your writing.

Happy journalversary ;)
