dad's doing much better. they're doing a series of tests on monday, and if everything goes right he ought to be out of hospital with a clean bill of health by the end of the week, or at least as clean as his health can be. at the very least he's decided to stop smoking. and we can only hope that he doesn't get a second aneurysm ( Read more... )

dad is still in hospital. they operated on him on friday morning, and since then he's been recovering steadily. he's still hooked up to pulse/blood pressure measuring device, and has a drip, but he's doing much better. we've been visiting him twice daily. today we saw him during supper and he was sitting at a table and not having supper in bed. and ( Read more... )

i got a letter from university, and i now have french exams to pass. on march 6th to be precise, at 13:30. this is a bit scary, i haven't had any exams for 16 or 17 years... and french was never my best subject. and i need to pass this exam to get into uni. so i'm just a wee bit worried.
