Yesterday we started in Needles, CA and drove to Barstow, where we finally drove our last miles and said goodbye to America's Highway. Another couple of hours found us pulling up to our resort hotel in Palm Springs, CA. It's been a lovely, relaxing couple of days here, resting up for the headlong dash home. Yesterday we did Santa Fe to Williams, AZ, and since it was over 400 miles, we decided to do the vast majority of it via the interstate. Yesterday from Tucumcari to Santa Fe was lovely and not-that-strenuous and I was very glad for it. KK and I stopped to take a couple of pictures of goats on the side of the road (yeah, I dunno, she found it extremely funny, though) and we went through a Classic Cars Museum. Stopped at the Cadillac Ranch first thing out this morning and had a really nice, leisurely time taking photos.
