Yay! You posted! Even more yay, you're going to New York!!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip, how long will you be there for and what else do you plan to do?
For the record, I love custard and hate both spiders and snakes. yesterday there was a very exciting episode of Huge Spider In My Car and notawonkygirl who, I now know, is terrified of spiders, completely wigged and actually fled the automobile (thank goodness we were stopped at a light)even thought the spider was on my chair. She also refused to hand me anything with which to attack said spider, and I had to use my parking lot security pass to flick this huge spider out the car door

I can't either - it's going to be awesome! We're getting in late on Thursday 14 Sept, and leaving the following Monday afternoon. I want to do the Empire State building, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Greenwich village and a morning round the shops. Other than that have no major plans yet. I've got the next couple of weeks to plan an itinerary - I know you're going in Oct, so do you have any suggestions?
And dude, I couldn't handle being in a car with a huge spider. In fact, if I'd been driving, it would've been really unsafe. I am *terrified* of them. But SNAKES ON A SUBARU! That is GENIUS! :D
And I seriously don't know what happened with the mens last week. Usually that doesn't happen at all - I'm just hoping that I've met my quota for the year. Or longer...
ok, I am heartily hoping that all those creepy men and being carefully accounted for in your karma. Like, you are due to run into someone really hot and polite any minute now. ;)
I have never been, myself (*jealous!*) but some friends of mine went down recently and had a good time. Their suggestions would probably be: don't be afraid to do the touristy things, because they're popular for a reason, and try to get some time to yourself - the art museums are good for that.
