Oh, my doggie.
So, Mikey's an old dog. He's around 15 now, and that's in people years. In dog years, that's a damned lot - he's a senior citizen. He's been on Rimadyl for a while for his hips (arthritis - see: old dog) and they have him come back every six months for blood tests to make sure it's not toasting his liver.

...this was my third day back to running. The last two times I'd taken Miss Kittin, but I realized last time out that she's not cut out for a lot of running. She will haul ass after a squirrel like nobody's business, but she's a sprinter. After my last run, I had to backtrack afterward and get her as she'd lagged behind. Some days are difficult.
I have these days, usually when the weather's bad and the sun's not there, when I just have a hard time functioning. Although having all the space I get from not having to work helps with my stress level, at times like this it can be a mixed blessing because i have nothing to force me out of the house (and my funk) some days. This is very true. I needed a push to get my off my ass and do what I should have been doing - keeping touch with my friends. I've kind of gotten sucked into Facebook, and that instant gratification fooled me into thinking I was communicating. Don't get me wrong - I was, but it wasn't the same as sitting ( Read more... )
