I'm still disappointed that my mother didn't allow my brother and I to take care of the brick bar in her den when she wanted it removed.
When I worked retail (and before I was aware of the environmental consequences), doing away with old florescent tubes was always a kick. Also, cracked aquariums that came in on shipments... oh, yes.

I was thinking about that bar while I was working. I remembered everybody had dibs on smashing it, but I couldn't remember who actually go to do it. I guess she and Dad did it, then.

There's just something about breaking stuff with impunity that's so much fun. It's weird owning our own place after all these years. I keep waiting for some guy to come in and say, "Hey, what do you think you're doing?! Stop that!" :)
