So I get a call from a friend, about this cat. The cat is 15 years old, in good health, and apparently "the sweetest gentlest cat on the planet." It, (I think a she but I'm honestly not sure at this point), is currently at a friend of my friend's, the brother of the cat's former owner. I use 'former' here in every sense of the word. I adopted both my kitties, whom I adore beyond measure, from the Toronto Humane Society. I like that they are a no kill shelter but I do, nevertheless, have some issues with them. I took the 12:30 overnight bus from Toronto, arriving at 7 AM this morning and actually managed to sleep for almost 6 hours of that, so that's not too bad. I got a notice today that there was a package that had been delivered to me priority post. I went to pick it up and what did I find? npulsifier had sent me a copy of each of the Best Novel Hugo nominees, 4 out of 5 of them signed.

He is completely awesome and I am not worthy.

According to this article, Google is paying people in Canada big money to "post links" from their home. All you have to do is send away for a $2.95 kit.

My very loud inner cynic is crying "SCAM!" Can someone here dispute that?

Well then you damned well better hold on tight to those handrails. A 38 year old mother of two was recently handcuffed, thrown into a holding cell, and fined a total of $420 by Montreal police. All for the heinous crime of riding an escalator in the subway without holding on to the handrail.
