This flower was given to my mom, they aren't even mine but holding them is enough to make me happy. I hate how it was dying in my hand as I admired it, so it is now sitting in a vase filled with water. Kinda looks like a dying person trying impossibly hard to look pretty while being put on a drip, its days numbered.

The Pygmalion effect is an interesting phenomenon. I can have (bake/make) my cake and eat it. Literally.

So mom asked what I wanted for my birthday last month and I jokingly answered "a mango cake", specifically. Tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, Blackforest cake, Pandan cake.. Have you ever stopped to examine if you're seeing something in front of you for what it truly is? I can't even answer that with much conviction.
