What I've been feeding apostate_96

Oct 03, 2006 17:32

I haven't posted in a long time, once again. Busy busy busy, as usual, among other things.

Anyway, apostate_96 has been sick, and I'm starting to feel a bit of it coming on too.

I learned this recipe from him, and he learned it from his dad, who learned it from somebody else. It is excellent for incoming virii, or those that have settled in to stay.

That is definitely a whopping amount of Vit C and acid, and the garlic is definitely good for you. I'm going to have to try this the next time that I'm sick. I've been fortunate, this has been a low sick incidence year for me.

And congrats on the anniversary! I meant to send a message to you two, but last week was very crazy.

Thanks :)

Yeah, when I feel a viral bug coming on, I make a run to the grocery store and buy enough supplies for 3 or 4 batches. I don't usually need more than that.

Yup, Potion is good stuff. I'll have to remember to thank Dad for it again.

Glad you like it too. :)

It's done plenty of good stuff for both of us.

I used that all last week. Just got over the crud myself.

My version of the recipe goes a bit like this:
2 Grapefruits
4-5 Limes
6-7 Whole cloves of garlic....

Then fart and burp a lot.

Heh. Your version of the recipe makes for a good detox, on top of the healing properties. I might have to try it, since I got a whole bag of limes and several heads of garlic, but only have a few grapefruits. I hate wasting food.

Get two cartons of chicken broth /or make ckicken broth by boiling a whole chicken with garlic and onions salt and pepper to taste....use the broth.

32 oz of Broth
1 Whilte Onion
1 Yellow Onion
1 Purple Onion
1 Head of Garlic
2-4 Limes( freshly squeezed)
2 teaspoons of Chili pepper{ Cayenne} ( or to taste, the teaspoon can make it rather hot)
1-2 teapoons of Braggs Ammino Acid ( You can find them in an orgnic gorcery store)_
1 Bushel of Parsley Simmer for 40 minutes, strain and drink warm to hot during the day.

Sounds like a good recipe... doesn't look too difficult to make either (especially if I can use the cartons of broth). For something like this, I'd make it a point to get organic broth.

I might also substitute kombucha for the amino acids, but for the first go-through would stick with the recipe as shown. (I tend to tweak almost every recipe I use.)

Thanks for the recipe.
