Were have I been all these days? Out touring the provinces supporting Black Box Recorder, lovies, and enjoying it very much. Well, actually, great big gobs of it were shit, but such is the nature of touring

I hope she's finding some way to enjoy herself regardless. That's really fucked up the way that happens. If it's any consolation, I've made enough to be comfortable for the rest of my life, so should the worst case scenario ever happen, I'll hire you as my own personal assistant. Your duties would be...well, various things. You're brilliant though. Thankfully at least the important parts of the world know it.
That's actually very reassuring. Glad to know I'll always have a place erm... assisting you. I can't pay the same sort of wage, but the reverse is also true. I'd pay for assistance in kind, though.
It's nice to be appreciated for one's overwheening genuis. You're brilliant too, you ought to put out a solo album full of songs about stars and planets. Concept albums are in again, you know.
Hello. I'm hanging out in your journal. Have you not stayed close with any of the Elastica girls? It's sad to hear what she's up to now but maybe she's happy doing what she's doing. It's great to hear things are going well for you. You're a smart girl, stay that way.
So you are. *gives you a snog as a reward for hanging around*
I have actually, in varying degrees of in touch. Annie and I had a few issues, but she's a good 'un at the heart of things, just wasn't cut out for arena gigs. Neither were any of us really, so that was alright. Justine's generally too good for us, but will condescend to see me on occasion. The rest of 'em are mates more than not.
And then there's Justin. Ha.
Maybe she is happy. I hope so, though it's hard to tell at times.
First of all, I hadn't realized you were associated with Black Box Recorder. Perhaps I've been living under a stone. Bravo.
Secondly, your cab story doesn't quite surpass the time I paid a former bassist to shine my shoes. Before I realized who it was, of course. Terribly embarrassing.
Thirdly, writing credits are wonderful things. Perhaps you could just sue. Seems to be the thing to do.
I'm not associated with them so much as I associate with them. They like my group and the feeling's quite mutual. Haines is a bloody genuis.
And christ, that shoe shine story is even more frightening than the other. How the mighty do fall... Lucky for me I have got writing credits on a good number of Elastica's songs, it's just everyone in the band who's not me or Justine that has the trouble.
