An interesting week at work
Both of my colleagues were on leave this week, so I had many more things to do than usual and it was really nice. Concert this Sunday
Just a reminder...Karl Jenkins' Armed Man is being performed by the Leicestershire Schools Symphony Orchestra and choir this Sunday (Feb 5) at DeMontfort Hall in Leicester. Tickets are £5. Concert starts at 7pm, The Armed Man will make up the second half. -
Careers and science
I just spent all day at a Faculty postgrad careers symposium. It wasn't as bad as I'd feared, although the workshops most definitely weren't. One other annoyance was the man from NHS Workforce who didn't really know what he was talking about once he got beyond the prepared presentation. Thesis
I know I spend most of my time pretending not to be a student - unless I can get money off! - but pretty soon it may be true. At least, as far as my study with the University of Leicester goes, for tomorrow I am going to print out Chapter 1 of my thesis.
