book review introduction
As I read a great deal, I thought it would be useful (to myself) to review books after I read them. This way I will have a record of what I thought of the book when I read it, and I will be gaining practice for my future career. Maybe I'll even convince someone to read or not read something.

visiting my dad
Well, I'm visiting my dad. We're going swimming today 'cause he's gotta pool. The flight sucked because of all of this 'terrorist' stuff. I read most of The Things They Carried. Love that book.

job grief, felted coat, art classes
I'm looking for a new job because I'm sick of my job. I hate customers. They're always complaining and yelling at me for things that aren't my fault at all. I hate retail. Framing's better than other retail jobs, but it's still shitty. I found a couple of jobs as a proofreader. I found another one that's working for the city doing late-night ( Read more... ) -

I got a letter from my school a couple of days ago. Appearantly I made the Dean's List. There's going to be this big mass (Catholic school) and stuff, but I'm not going to go. I don't dig on church. My school's weird. We only have the Dean's List in the spring. That seems weird. Like I can make fantastic grades in the fall, but that doesn't matter ( Read more... ) -

done moving!
Well, I'm pretty much done moving. Everything's outta the apartment. I've still gotta move some stuff around here. (I'm at my mom's now.) The garage is full, so we've gotta move some of the stuff to the storage unit. Now I can have a life again!
That's all I can write, I've gotta go finish doing laundry and paint a sample for a class I'm teaching. -
valium, horror movies, shoplifters
I had the worst backache at work. I had to go in early b/c the opener couldn't come in. About halfway through my shift I took a valium and the oddest thing happened. I woke up. I didn't even realize that I'd been dragging until I perked up. But usually the valium makes me tired and slow. Needless to say I'm still up. I worked an 8hr shift, went to ( Read more... ) -
Bandera, ugh
I was watching Fahrenheit 9/11 this morning and I noticed something. Right after the part where Moore's reading the Patriot Act, it shows Bush in a restaurant asking to take someone's order. And I've been to that restaurant. It's in this little piss-ant town called Bandera. They don't even pave their parking lots. They've got like 2 stop lights. It ( Read more... )
