First few days in Desai have so far been productive, if drab. How long has it been since I've had to bother with cashpoints? Makes me bloody nostalgic. So a little money, a little time at the casino. Um it was 2057 when I left home. People were more focused on surgeries then developing technology.

There was an epidemic of organ failures, before I was born, and during it one company created a niche for itself providing financed organs for people. Afterwards surgeries became a cosmetic thing and almost everyone owes that company money. They practically rule the world.

How perfectly horrible. You mentioned cosmetic surgery... what sorts of changes do you mean? A little lift-and-tuck seems too simple in a world of rented organs.
