My daughter said today that she hates the internet because it flattens the world and sucks up her time by all the availability of Manga, distracting information, email, and videos. Then she went back and sat down in front of the computer.

And she doesn't even log on to her social networking or lj accounts--well, rarely.

Exhausted and fatigued from the costumes, festivities and social drama of SakuraCon--we now return to our program of everyday life.

We are nearly ready, as you may be able to tell by the check list below (I've been updating it as we get things done). Xena is panicking a bit, but we'll be fine.

Packing lists are all ready; tomorrow morning we pack the Cherokee (bigger vehicle needed for large props).
We leave at noon.

It all starts tomorrow afternoon!

My daughter and I are working feverishly to finish costumes for SakuraCon, coming up April 9-12.

This will be our third time attending this particular convention, and 20,000 people are expected.

My personal preparations are fairly minimal, especially as my goal is not so much to prepare a character, but to blend in so that I can be a photographer ( Read more... )
