Work Sigh
Work is going fine - 5 weeks left with phys 060 (gr. 12 equivalent) at TRU in Kamloops. I can't wait to be home and STAY home. It's been since Jan. 15 - way too long.
I've applied for jobs at VIU, hopefully I get them, otherwise it looks like I may get one in Kamloops in the fall. Then we'd have to move. It's tough to find work...... -

Looks like I'll be in Kamloops for 3 months or so teaching Phys. 11 and 12 at TRU - how cool is that.
Sucks being away from my family though. Sigh.
The weather in Dawson is amazing. 20 - 21 Celsius today! Yay! And it smells like spring. I actually need sunblock. I love the brightness. -

Math problems!
Hey all you math types!
I have two math problems that are proving to be difficult. If anyone could show me how to solve them I'd appreciate it!
1. 2e^(-2x) - 3e^(-x) + 1 = 0
^ = raised to the power of.
I keep getting x = -0.405 which works without the + 1. Not sure where I'm messing up as I am dragging the 1 to the RHS and - ln1 = 0

Gun time 2:59:01 - yes, it took me 4 min to get to the start line after the gun - there were a LOT of people, 4605 that finished, always some who don't.
I finished 437 in my age group out of 468, and 4224 overall.
Not the most amazing results, but hey! I wasn't last AND I finished AND I ran -

On Sat. I was heading down to Victoria to pick up the race package for the Royal Victoria Marathon - I was doing the half. When, horrors, in the middle of Duncan the car stopped, dead, center lane. Operation Dragonfly
I heard a weird noise in the kitchen and went to investigate. There was a beautiful blue, HUGE (size of my hand) Dragonfly beating against the window, trapped. I felt terrible for it so I put on an oven mitt and grabbed it by the tail and let it out the window. It's a good thing I had the mitt on as it chomped down when I grabbed it. Vacation
Greetings all,
My family and I are vacationing mid April. We were wondering if anyone had an RV like thing we could rent from them. We are thinking smaller sized one (gas reasons - sigh).
