Got an appointment for Thurs for the tooth. It's $50 just for them to look at it and figure out what's up, then discuss prices and options with me. I'm hoping for "we can just use acrylic to seal that up in five minutes without Novocaine and send you on your way" but I don't want to be too optimistic... -

Yesterday one of my students got really excited about the way I pronounced "orange" and that made my day. He grew up in New Jersey.
I guess it's arr-ange on the East Coast and oh-range on the West Coast, but I never noticed.
