Waking dream memories haunting my present.

Wizened, damaged, repaired, toughened, tanned.

crusty eyes and crusty heart peeling open

dreams, desires, needs groggy from slumber

another dawn in the cycle of my life

tentative in the brilliance of morning

the cobweb dreams of soft awakenings

what will be revealed in the light?
