So am I. Are you maybe going to do the home game with Idol? Gary made a thread for it now.

We miss your entries.

I'll do the home game as often as I can (I missed the boat the last couple of weeks, though!) - I want to sharpen my skills!

Oh my god, how terrifying. I know in theory that's going to happen to me (to most of us) someday, or something like it, but your description of the experience was really heartrending.

It was just so hard not knowing what was happening and if time mattered (since they were taking so long.)

It seemed to come out of the blue (but often it does, doesn't it?)

Part of it was, as I said, I was 20 years old. Just..felt so..helpless.

Thanks for your comment!

I didn't know ulcers could rupture. I always thought of them as sores in your stomach. What a terrible situation, and a terrible 911 operator D:. I guess these were the days before google maps, but I can't imagine it would be that hard to look at a map of the area?! Also, aren't land line phones supposed to be easily traceable? I doubt you lived so far in the boonies so your road wasn't on a map :|. You handled that scary situation really well.

Ah, the glory that is 911. Don't get me wrong, they really do try to help, but there are just so many people in need sometimes.

I'm glad things turned out all right, but what a nightmare!

Oh, my... I bet you have a cordless phone now! I hope Bob's health has improved greatly since then.

My husband has learned to be more careful and treat ulcers sooner if they develop. He struggles with his health in other areas though.

And yes, cordless phones can be SO important in certain situations!

Thanks for your faithfulness to comment, it means a lot to me to here the responses of others!:)
