Get Out of Bed - I feel like I've been hit by a truck in my sleep. Of all days to wake up this way.

Love my Droid
Yesterday, we went to the movies ($1 movie) to see Paul. It was cute, and a little funny (maybe a little too sweet). I was just amazed at how many kids were in the audience and I mean LITTLE kids, whole groups of them. There were like 4 kid movies playing at that theater, but evidently these parents figured they'd rather see the R rated ( Read more... ) -

Underwhelming
That was what someone pointed out that the pictures of our neighborhood were. I can understand that, even looking back on them now having seen what we've seen since they are underwhelming to me, as well. Return of Power
We came home yesterday afternoon after taking Paul's mom out for early Mother's Day lunch just in time to find the power returning to our neighborhood. It literally came on as we were driving through the neighborhood (our next door neighbor didn't even know it was on when we pulled up). Day 5?
This was Day 5. As far as I know we still don't have power but we aren't home so I can't say for 100% certain. However, after an upswing in the return to power in the city on Sunday evening it quickly returned to a trickle today and then finally stopped around 4pm (per the Huntsville Utilities). Stormageddon 2011
This is crazy. I was sitting in my office wed morning looking out the window thinking I didn't like how it looked when the power went out. I headed downstairs and looked outside to see hail and a tree up by the roots. Then from another window saw a tree behind that one split in the middle. Really Appreciating My Life Lately
This weekend has been really good for us. After the encounter earlier in the week, we've both just been really much more appreciative of each other. We've talked a lot about a variety of things. I think I will definitely be going to Manna House this week to volunteer ( Read more... )
