Dearest me. Looks as though I've woken in someone's room...

Rather embarrassing... but I suppose I should- What's this?

Oh! This is one of those strange devices, isn't it?

Excuse me. If there happens to be someone who's able to hear me and ( Read more... )

I thought to be upon a vessel, one needs proof they're allowed on board.

Am I mistaken?

How long have you been aboard, Sir? Is there a destination planned?

Upon this shining schooner the only boarding pass necessary is a bounding heart and a beating step!

Welcome, sir, to the yacht of dreams! Enjoy the sights of the ocean of eternity, blown swift by the strong winds of chance and the tides of revival!

have a taste of the buffet of beauty, a browse of the library of understanding, and a patrol 'round the deck of sweet wanderlust- also known as the field of daisies upon the thirteenth deck.

Most of all, appreciate your leader, the guide of gilded sense- one Samuel Goldthwaine Robinson Jr., at your constant and well-worded service!

OMG they are going to be best friends. dukealla March 1 2010, 07:23:52 UTC
[This man's words are putting hope back into his little human-sized chest]

Surely you jest, Mister Robinson. How is there a field of daisies upon such a vessel? Is this a dream?

A dream? Yes. It is indeed. But can a dream not also be a waking thing? Here on this boat it is that we dance about the edges of consciousness and senselessness. Here on this boat I've discovered joys beyond words and grief beyond measure. Here on this boat you will meet friends incomparable and dangers seemingly unconquerable.

Looking it over, new companion, the field is the least shocking thing you'll find.

If what you speak is true, surely I am wasting each moment in this room. What is the most glorious things to be found upon this vessel? A place, a person, or perhaps the sky that blankets us over out heads? This is assuming there is a sky... again, I've yet to venture from this very room.

But with no fear of needing a pass to board, I'm already to venture forth.

Excuse my rudeness, Mister Robinson. I'm Duke. Duke Alla D'Aubergine and it 'tis a pleasure to met your acquaintance.

Hey, man. I'm First Mate Kage and you're on board the Elegante. OUr destination is the Golden Shore, so until we get there you don't gotta do a Zeshat-damned thing but sit back and relax.

You need a special diet, you got any questions, you ask myself or any other crew member.

Welcome aboard.

It is a pleasure to meet your aquaintance and to be sailing this fine vessel, Mister Kage.

The Golden Shore? Would you be so kind to elaborate upon that? I'm unfamiliar to it.

As far as diet is concerned, as long as there is sandwiches, I'll be happy, sir.

Thank you.

[Kage waves his hand.]

Nah, man, I'm no mister. Just Kage works, or First Mate if you wanna be formal.

[Kage flips open guy's file and starts leafing through it.]

Golden Shore's our destination, I already told you that. And--yeah, no problem at all. I know it's confusin' at first, but just try'n sit tight.

Then Kage it shall be. Much easier to say and to remember, that is... unless I forget... then I'll just address you as First Mate, I suppose.

Are there... any rules I should be following while we're sailing towards our destination?

Are you trying to keep it a surprise to us or is it you're not quite sure what the Golden Shore is?
