You won't need it! You've got talent and qualifications in spades. The only reason I have my job is because a good friend and coworker from my last job got hired on at Genesys, paving the way for me. The last two jobs before this were the same way. I got my first post-college job through a friend of my dad's, and my next job was through my boss at the previous job! So really, if it wasn't for who I knew/know, I wouldn't have any of this.

The good stuff may take time, but it'll be worth the wait!

Short answer: Check out the company website

Long answer: Genesys sells telephony software, mostly to customer call centers, that handles the routing of phone calls and other transactions, like email, video, or chat. Some call centers are set up that you can only take calls for whatever section you sit in; if you switched from one dept to another, you'd have to move in order to take the new phone calls. Genesys offers skills-based routing, so that wherever you sit and whatever phone you're at, if you have a particular skill assigned in the phone system, you'll get that call.

Another example I usually give people: have you ever called a customer service number, had it prompt you for your account number, and then when you finally get a person to answer, they ask you for the same freakin' account number? Ever wonder why they have to do that? We also sell a product that performs ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), TTS (Text to Speech), and database dips. You either say aloud or type in your account number, and by the time a customer ( ... )
