I want to know about you LJ-ers out there:

If you decided to have kids, why?

If you decided not to, why?

If you are unsure, why?

:)

Assuming you addressed this to anyone who had access to read this entry, I'll answer.

We decided to because a) we wanted them and b) we didn't want to realize 10, 15, 20, etc years later that all we had was all there would ever be.

I'm not going to have any because I'm genetically inferior and the world is over populated.

I would fall into the unsure category.

I don't know how it will play out just yet. Number one, I have so much I want to do career-wise. Number two, I don't know if I would want to do it alone or wait until I am in a relationship or what.

I used to want a big family...then my sister had kids. Eye-opening!!! (Haha, I love them to death, don't get me wrong...)

This is a subject bigger than a comment for me, but I'll try to keep it short.

I had always planned to have kids and having them was the only reason I got married. I wanted to have them when I was in my early '30's, but it didn't happen and I never saw the point in making it happen with fertility drugs and that whole route.

As time went by I sort of got that it wasn't in the cards for me this go 'round even though I love kids. I was a step-parent for a time and I'll always treasure that experience, but for me? The answer is cats. Plenty of cats.

Next lifetime, maybe.

Unsure because I would have difficulty carrying a baby to term safely (without endangering my life or both of our lives)... We are considering adoption... Not sure if we're gonna do that, either. It is up in the air right now.
