Kris had a free rental at Blockbuster tonight, so he picked up Twilight. I really, really didn't want to like it. But I did really like it. Today is my last Monday of maternity leave. This 8 weeks has gone by really quickly. I always though leave went quickly when women I work with were out, but now I know it works when I'm the one out! We're slowly getting into a "routine" here. It's hard. I really don't know how women do it who have either a) a partner who is uninterested in helping or b) no partner. Kris has been amazing. Checked into the hospital at around 4:30am on Saturday morning. Labored all that day. Took pretty much every drug the hospital offers in the way of labor and delivery (Ahhh, Nubain, how can I get you on the black market?). We had a lovely Christmas (Eve) at Mom's. Lots of food, laughter and good times. Well, those three things aren't reserved only for Christmas at Mom's. The only bad part of the day was I ate so many snacks before dinner that I only had room for a HALF a piece of Mom's lasagna. This is not acceptable, so I brought a piece home. We have the best Mail Lady ever. Her name is Chris. Since Kris is home during the day, he and Chris have gotten friendly. She knows he buys/sells on eBay, so sometimes if the weather is bad, she won't leave a package and will redeliver it when the weather is better. That sort of thing.
