Willem of Orange gave Leiden a university in 1575. We are told he wanted to thank the city for its perseverance during the Spanish siege of 1573-1574. WOO HOO!! I'm legal!! Well back home I am. This past week and weekend were amazing. All last week was ESN's birthday (the international club), so they had stuff going on all week.
