I drove and drove and drove, and amazingly, after gassing up just once, I was in San Francisco! Unemployment Accomplishments (in no particular order):

-Built a new door for the workshop in backyard
-Caught a gopher that was terrorizing my garden plants, and relocated it to a nearby wildlife sanctuary unharmed.
-Found a new job in Northern CA
-Replaced warped radial-arm saw tabletop with a new one, hand built by me.

Today i caught a gopher in my back yard. they eat my desired plants, so he was an undesirable. so i put him in a bucket, put the bucket (with a towel inside for padding/hiding, and a few sow thistle roots to munch on, if he so desired) on my bike, and rode the bike to my local wildlife sanctuary.i took him out to the meadow, and after sitting there ( Read more... )

As of today, i have been hired (pending a background check) to work in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. i'll be a Park Service employee doing mostly invasive plant assassination, and will probably be there until around mid september. if you are along the way, and would like a visit, let me know.

My dog died last night.

I’m not really surprised; I’ve been expecting it for the last 5 years. She’s almost died numerous times… lost weight from 60 to 17 pounds in 2004 when my sister and I left home (me to UCSC and her to Bulgaria).
