Finian has asked my mother for her hand in marriage and she has given him a favourable reply.

This is rather wonderous news, but Deirdre...I do believe it best I stay with you tonight. I fear I may have to hear terrible noises of exertion if I do not. And while I am a brave knight, no one should have to suffer those noises.

I recently submitted a piece of writing to a contest run by a newspaper. It was sent back saying that it was unfair that I had submitted it in the 10-12 age range when clearly I should have been included in the 15-17 age range at least. School starts again soon, and I for one am very glad that my scholarly pursuits can continue. Today Finian took me to Westminster Abbey and it was very glorious indeed!
