First snow of the season
I decided to step away from my computer and went outside to greet the first snow of the season. Honesly I just needed a walk and I'm not actually talking to the snow. Hellooooooo 2012!
I'm going to be honest, 2011 was horrible. It was so horrible I rather stick rusted pins in between my nails than go through it again. So here we are, 2012 :) One can only hope that since last year was horrible, this year must be da bomb? Cross is taking over my life
This past weekend's race has got to be my favorite course so far. It was easy and Heckle Hill was fun. I did not pre-ride the course at all but got there early enough to check out most of it. Yet another cross race done
I arrived at Dan Ryan Woods little later than I hoped to, by the time I got there the 4As were already in the middle of their race. So after I checked in I had no time to warm up or do any adjustments. I saw a few people racing in elvis outfits since this event was "Elvis Cross." Cyclocross race done!
Chicago Cyclocross Cup event #2 is officially done! I took part of the 4B race and had a blast. Some of the guys from a team I am looking to join were out there cheering me on after they finished their earlier races. I did crash once during a turn, there were these pesky little small acrorn thingys laying around. It set me back but I wasn't in it ( Read more... ) -
So I know I said I would wait on the cross bike but...
...I bought one. To be fair I exchanged my bike. The road bike is nice and was super cheap. You get what you pay for too though. I noticed that the shifting was not smooth and problems with it. Wasn't too happy with the design of the levers. Also When I ride with friends, its usually on gravel paths. So with this cross bike I can do both. I can ( Read more... ) -
A new addiction
As some of you may know, I started participating in 5k/10k events this summer. I ran in the DG 10k, a 5k in burr ridge, and then the Champions run 10k which is my favorite of the three I accomplished this summer.
