I was hoping that this year I'd be able to take the day off. That definitely isn't happening, since I'm like three months behind on my "second year" paper (long story), but it's turning out a very good day anyway. advice on netbooks?
I've discovered that I get a lot more writing done away from home than if I'm here, but my laptop (while otherwise lovely) is discouragingly heavy to cart around. Ergo, a netbook seems worth the investment to get papers done. Does anyone have advice? I'm looking for good battery life, light, cheap, and ergonomics in approximately that order. Poor Zombie
She was spayed the day before we took her home, two weeks ago. The wound seemed to be healing fine. Last week the vet said she'd been licking it some but it probably wouldn't be an issue. Then it got infected, and yesterday we came home from the vet with antibiotics, a funnel collar, and lots of instructions. She's so helpless with the collar! She ( Read more... ) -

anyway, we got a kitten! Sooo cute! Very playful and loving. Favorite games so far: climb Meryl's head, chase-and-chew (and you'd better hope it's not a piece of you in this one- she'd be a killer already if we had mice). We haven't decided on a name yet.
