Bad day for poor Grym. He got a new video card Saturday... and found it doesn't fit his box. Found, in fact, that his motherboard is pretty much already maxed out in terms of both video card and RAM. Today was a good day. Fry's for new stereo speakers and a vid card for Grym (sadly, the vid card turned out to be incompatible), a new purse for me since my old one choked and died, and an Epicly Awesome dinner of sushi with the best fucking mackerel nigiri I've ever eaten. My first real plied yarn (two-ply) seems to be a rousing success so far. :) I've got it skeined up and in some clips, and I'll finish it off tomorrow and take some pics. But right now it's lovely and fluffy and bouncy and I think I'm in love. :-D I might make myself a hat out of it ( Read more... ) -
Okay, wow.
I just managed to break a large glass or possibly pyrex bowl UNDER MY FOOT. I don't even know how; I knocked it over, but I didn't drop it, and I didn't even put much weight on it.

I think that maybe, after close to a year of working on him, I have maybe convinced the Grym that the front living room (as opposed to the family room) needs to be the room with the TV.
