So I'm wondering... is anyone else more excited about the sequel to The Hobbit than about The Hobbit movie itself? I'm geeking out about the latter as much I should be, don't get me wrong. But I'm so much more impatient for the sequel, especially because of the stuff with Aragorn in Rohan and Gondor

I actually think Viggo could do it. All they would have to do is clean him up and he would look much younger. :) And I agree that Ian Holm is probably too old...

As for the sequel, supposedly they're pulling it from the timeline material between TH and LOTR. Lots of good stuff is in there!

there's going to be a Hobbit sequel??! What's it going to be about? Please don't tell me they are just going to make up a story.
I hope they use as many of the original actors as possible, honestly, for continuity's sake. I think Viggo could play a younger Aragorn just fine--in fact, we can assume that his looks didn't change too much throughout his adult life since he was in his 70s/80s (?) in the original trilogy. One would assume he's looked like that since his 30s.
I'm a terrible, terrible fan.
