Elsa smelled the thing just before she saw it, and she echoed Moon's curse. Plenty of things in life could be deceiving--people, places, those colorful drinks that didn't look so strong--but this place was exactly what it seemed.

Immediately, she began stripping. "Don't look unless you want a show you won't like," she warned. Ease born of what must have been plenty of practice in her former life had her free in seconds, and then she Changed.

This was the better form for this place. Circling around to get between her companions and the thing, she let out a lot warning growl.

What was that!? That was a dog without its skin, a misshapen face, coming for them. Fugue made a movement to at least protect Elsa, a spark of nerves trying its hardest to ignite within, and that was when she began to peel off her clothing. He'd stopped and stared... perhaps a little too long, and before he could apologize, she transformed.

A werewolf! ...Right? "Wow," he managed to breathe before he could stop himself, and got the hell back. He had nothing on him that could handle this strange dog. He looked around him. There was a large building just ahead. This meant windows and doors to keep up any more dogs and whatever else might be lurking outside.

Besides, something felt right about going there. It felt safe. In a scary place like this, he could take what he could get. The man jabbed a finger in the direction of the building, ignoring the snarling of this skinless dog's friends getting louder. Closer.

"That building! Maybe the elevator's in there," he said. The place had several floors. One of the elevators had to be the ( ... )

Of course the girl could turn into a werewolf. That made about as much sense as the rest of this. Moon wasn't going to stick around to see how this dog-thing would react to her transformation.

He eyed the building that Fugue pointed to. It was as good as any, and at least they could board up the doors and windows to keep the animals out. "Fine," he spat, tossing away the cigarette. "Let's get the hell out of here before his friends show up."

Moon reached the door first and stepped inside. The smell of blood and rust was nearly overpowering, and he covered his mouth with his hand to keep from gagging. It was impossible to see anything in this town since the fog rolled in, and once the other two were inside and safe, he flicked on his lighter again, to see what they were up against now.

Aside from a brief, familiar look from the creepy one, the both of them seemed to take it in stride. Why not? In a land like this, she was one of the more attractive monsters.

She couldn't speak to voice her agreement, but Moon's suggestion was a good one, and she circled around as they moved toward the building, ready to defend them if it came to that. Plenty of people in Edensphere had special abilities, but of the three of them, she was the only one she knew could fight. Elsa could only trust herself on that.

The smells inside roiled over her like a living cloud as they entered. For a moment, she froze in her tracks, wishing desperately for a peppermint scent bomb to strike them. This blood...it wasn't anything that the wolf in her wanted. It was old, rotted, the scent of a murder scene left to decay. The tiniest of whimpers escaped her throat and she wanted to give herself a good scratch. This wasn't the time to become a coward.

He breathed a sigh when they were all inside. They were away from the horrible dog, out of the fog, but the stench of clotted blood hit his nose first. Clotted blood gave way to dust and filth, and Fugue quickly pulled the top hem of his shirt over his mouth and nose. It wasn't much of an improvement, but it got rid of that thick, greasy feeling of nausea deep in the pit of his stomach ( ... )
