I think I know what me, scott and Andy would say for the rorschach tests:

1] Looks like Rorshach.
2] Looks like Rorshach.
3] Looks like Rorshach.

etc ;-)

I'm slightly puzzled by 7.

I'd rather not be involved in either. If I was involved in either I would like to survive....?

Yes, I would like to survive, definately, no question. And definately definately it is one of those unrealistic fantasies, like living in the middle ages or being a double agent for the KGB or hanging out with hunter S thompson, where the reality is probably awful but you love to think about it anyway. I often seem to want to escape from something cataclysmic- its the walking away from it thats key. Climbing out through a broken window of a train carriage. Walking across a burning cornfield. Its ridiculous really, I don't know where it comes from.

I see now. It's the imagery really?

Walking across a burning cornfield. With moody music in the background? ;-)

Yeah, the imagery, the story of it all. And the immense unknowing of what the experience would be like.

I watched some episodes of 'aircrash investigation' last year to learn a bit more about the whole thing- what is incredible about areoplanes is how isolated the pilots are. So in one plane there was a small explosion that blew off some of the wing- everyone on the plane apart from the pilots could look out the window and see it, but all that happened in the cockpit is a light went on. The pilots thought it was a fault with the light so they ignored it. A few minutes later there was another explosion that took out nine rows of seats, like something had taken a bite out of the plane. And still the pilots had no way of knowing until several minutes later when they had felt a bump and hadn't heard from the flight attendents, so thought they ought to take a look! Its horrendous!

Kidnapping is so high maintenance. :)

Thats why I love it- it forces the kidnappers into this ridiculous relationship with their victim. There was once an episode of he-man- the cartoon version- where skeletor kidnaps cringer and hikes across frozen wastelands- cringer gets tired and cold and skeletor backs down and carries him! something like that. Gets really mad at going soft over a cat!

:-)

Assassins make great character studies. So much potential angst and plenty of places to go with it. See James Bond and the female character in Munich. Maybe I just like the bad uns.

I agree. It was terry practchett that made me see the potential of assassins- and generally they get the better film roles. Solitary and dressed in black and all those cool gadgets! And so many variations- munich, leon, grosse point blank- all very different personalities.

But kidnapping couples are character pairs- I loved Mr and Mrs Smith- pairs of characters do it for me usually.
