TPS isn't about being better than everyone else. It's about having tickets on your self (or otherwise being a dickhead). Dale Begg-Smith doesn't seem to have the tickets, but he is a Spam King. Do we don't like him. Deal (as our Seppo friends say).

For those wondering what the hell anon is on about in his (or her) above comment, it is in reference to this comment I made at Metafilter. Not sure why he or she decided to post this comment here, but hey, this thread is an open thread, so why the hell not, eh?

Of course, to gain access to more posts of mine to have a spray about, you'd be well advised to post here with a Livejournal I.D and I can add you as a friend. Until then, however, you'll all just have to make-do with this single, solitary post. Ho-hum, eh?

Peace out.

Long story as to how and why I got here, lots of contact info in my profile if you're curious.

p.s. Anonymous sounds like a real winner. "Seppo." *snort*

I found this journal through your comment about Brisbane in the beautiful-skylines thread on MeFi.

I'll explain briefly in an e-mail the manner in which that piqued my curiosity. It all kinda fits together.

You know, that Shrek line you quoted was actually a Babe reference, where the farmer tells Babe, "That'll do, pig. That'll do."

Having never seen Babe, I cannot attest to have known the fact which you present here today. I am inclined to believe you however, and indeed, I have no reason not to. Except for the fact that you are something of a stranger to me, and my mummy always told me not to trust strangers ( ... )

I thought it was wise, what you said in the telemarketer thread, and reflective of my own values. (I found the thread through an AskMe question about telemarketers, where I'd favorited this comment. This is me over there, btw.) Also, I was a bit curious what your awesome job that paid heaps was!

I have no real reason to want to read your journal beyond... well... aren't we drawn to those like ourselves?

I was jealous of your star, but now it's gone I can appreciate you as a normal person. jacalata May 24 2007, 10:02:16 UTC
Well, I know you off mefi (I have the same name there). You seem like the sort of person I'd enjoy talking to in real life*, and you've mentioned your lj account a couple of times there, so, stalker-like, I looked it up.

*this could happen, if we got that brisbane meetup happening!
