Last Thursday I attended the Stereophonics gig in São Paulo. It was their first time in Brazil and the concert was quite a private affair - two thousand and something people only. I've unexpectedly landed a new job.

Right now, I'm a part-time sort of consulting reader.

That means, I'm paid to read and review books.

How does that sound? Heaven, anyone?

I'm still at school, but I've already decided to quit next year - no later than July, I hope.

Why wouldn't you be invited to parties because you're single? My experience is I get *more* invitations, because everyone's trying to set me up.

I believe it's a cultural thing... dating in Brazil is something that depends on you, and you alone. Friends don't set you up: you're pretty much shunned, labelled as a third wheel, if you don't bring ( Read more... )
