After wasting away my Saturday sunshine hours, we headed north to the monthly Texas Hold 'em game at Roberts. This time Beth's mom was coming with to play so we had to make a short side trip into Mira Mesa. We ended up with only 7 people so it was a good thing she came with. I took last Friday off for festivities surrounding Stone Brewing's 10th Anniversary Party on Saturday. I met up with several folks from near and far at Liars Club in Pacific Beach for lunch. The boy was working last night so Beth and I went to a new cajun food cafe near our house for dinner - "Fix Me A Plate Cafe". A bit pricey but the food I had was good. I was tempted by just about everything on the menu. I wish the place was a buffet! Ended up ordering the country fried steak with yams and green beans. It was nice to have a long weekend, but now that it is over, it seems too short. I did a lot of nothing on Saturday until we went out to the Casino Steak House. Beth got a comp so we dined on steaks and yummy food. Even though its free, I know I've paid up front with all the money she loses out there.
