So, any one ever seen anything like this? It's about 1 inch long. If you have friends or relations in Wisconsin, or anyone into 19th cent history, ask them to help. I'm trying to see if this can help prove that my Great-Great-Grandfather John E Lewis was from this part of Wisconsin, during the 1850's & 1860's. Even though the roofers came the wrong week (we were all gone) and I had only 3 hrs to do the 3 days worth of prep work, I finally have a new roof, and can take away the buckets that catch the rain on the FIRST floor (through the walls of the 2nd).
