Carnival/Temple Expedition

Dec 17, 2010 18:56

[The ship is quiet. Unnervingly so.

Far apart, two groups gather for their trecherous expedition according to Meth's orders, weapons ready and minds steeled for the dangers ahead of them.

Let's hope someone remembered to bring the body bags this time!]

[Meth waits quietly at the entrance to Carnival on deck four. She is dressed in dark green coveralls and combat boots. Sleeves rolled up to her elbows show some tension in her lower arms, which nonetheless hang still at her sides while she waits. She carries a machete in one hand, and her communicator in the other. With a sigh, Meth begins to tap her foot, waiting for people to show up.]

[Mordecai strides in, pistol on his hip, regen shield strapped to his leg and attention fixed on the sniper rifle in his hands as he gives the weapon yet another glance over. It's habit to check his weapons time and time again when heading into a job, and anxious excitement has the best of him. Far too many months have past since Mordecai has killed anything, more so with a weapon of his own.

He gives Meth a short nod and joins her in waiting for the others.]

[Vincent arrives in his standard gear, Cerberus strapped to his thigh with a makeshift holster. It doesn't quite fit, but it's better than nothing. He gives a quick glance around before folding his arms and leaning back against the nearest wall, waiting. Nothing to say until they get moving, after all.]

[Clearing his throat, Guy fidgets outside the door to the Temple. He's not entirely comfortable out here, but even less comfortable with the idea of going deep into the depths of the catacombs.

But, orders are orders.

He's substituted Doc Martens for his usual Birkenstocks, and there are two bandoliers crossed over his chest, though his Hawaiian shirt seems to hide whether he's brought any kind of weapon that would utilize the ammo.

Either way, he's as prepared as he can be.]

[Well this is fan-fucking-tastic. His sole reason for going is to watch Nel's back and now he's in a completely different group. Part of him wants to tell the crew to go fuck themselves and go with whoever the hell he wants, but Nel will probably scold him for that and think he's being overprotective, which he is but that's not the point. So, with a lot of grumbling, Kevas heads to deck thirteen. They'll probably end up meeting each other anyway.

Seems like he's the first one there not counting the crew member, whoever that is. Since he's been Kevas doesn't think he's met half the crew on this boat. Not that he ever bothered trying. He crosses his arms and sizes the guy up.]

So we be goin' wid joo? I be feelin' safuh already.

[The amount of sarcasm could fill a bucket.]

[To say that Ironhide is displeased at seeing this man is an understatement. This is the man in the vision - the one seated on Optimus' lifeless arm. Still, he decided he was in this a long time ago. He will go with their group, he will protect them. Even if Zuko is on the other team.

And, he can always kill the man afterward. Once their goal is accomplished.

The weapons master rolls up, and transforms, his armor fully restored, thanks to Ratchet, and his gears no longer grinding. He shakes his arms, and his cannons emerge, glowing hot red and smoldering blue to match the cold, steely anger in his good optic. He is not afraid. What is there to be afraid of?

Instead, he stands just behind Kevas, a mountain of black metal and weaponry, staring at Guy.]

I will kill you, crewman, when we are finished here. Do not forget it.

[His voice is calm, flat, and, when he finishes speaking, Ironhide turns away to wait for the rest of their party, folding his arms.]

[Toaster has been waiting for this moment for weeks. He wants to prove that he is, indeed, capable of taking care of himself and defend others. Soon after seeing the video, he grabs his shit. His Oreo costume isn't going to be very useful in that environment, so he opts for a kitty hat and a black mask with eye holed. He also decided to bring along a weapon, a knife to be exact. It's strapped to his side with a little duct tape holster he'd constructed.

Don't judge the little guy, okay.

He's ecstatic that Ironhide is going to be with him, but he does worry for Zee. She's going to be pissed when she finds out that Toaster did the equivalent of suicide.

He waddles up to Ironhide and taps him on one of his massive legs.]

I'm ready.
