I love the bright sunshine that shines on the lush green, green, greenness everywhere. Mt Rainier's presence, enormous and white-capped, is captivating. It's as if she's floating in the sky rather than emerging from the ground. Summer is here and I'm so happy to catch a week of it. -

100 Years Ago Today in SF
Today is the anniversary of the big earthquake and resulting fires that devastated San Francisco in 1906. The newspapers and radio have been doing stories on it for the past couple of weeks. My favorite (and really only) story I read was about how the government sent in hundreds of cooks and set up huge kitchens to cook for people. Amazing ( Read more... ) -
