Dave and I went with Crew 71 to the Maryland Renaissance Festival. First of all we were in a caravan of five cars. On the country roads it was fine but on the interstate it was a different matter. Went back to the eye doctor and  he gave me a slightly stronger contact for my left eye.  The contacts are of different strengths...they work sort of like like bifocal glasses except I really don't need the 'distance thing. The right eye is for distance and tiny bit blurry close up and the left eye is for close up work and a tiny bit blurry for. Went out and took a walk in a different park this morning. This one had a nice circular walking trail. It takes me 10 minutes to complete one loop...and its got nice little hills...nothing to bad. Its about the same as walking from the parking lot to the porch of Buffalo Lodge. I did it twice and could  have gone a third time but I had no water ( Read more... )

Quiet day. I stayed in so Kev could have a day out.

Almost threw one of my contacts away. I forgot that I had two for the right eye because the doctor wanted me to experiment. The instructions said to empty out the little case and let it dry out. I took the  American Heart Association CPR/first aid  instructor course back in June but they are holding my certification card until I teach my first monitored class. Then I can get my card and teach on my own...even get paid for it in some circumstances. The training center where I took the course holds classes all the time and I have the option ( Read more... )
