I think that I rely too much on other people to make me happy. I tend to form close relationships with people that are emotionally distant and then I take it personally when they are emotionally distant with me. I was walking down 3rd ave today and I saw a guy that looked like Ross from behind. As I got closer I saw that he had generic sneakers and black dress socks that were pulled up too high and I thought, "That can't be Ross." I got the news on Monday morning, my first full day back in Seattle. He had been sick for sometime with colon cancer, angina, parkinsons, you name it. I'd been steeling myself for awhile that he probably wasn't going to make it through the year but I was still shocked to hear the news.
