Seeking a mobile phone donation

My cell phone is spontaneously developing new features such as Random Mute Mode, Display-Call-But-Refuse-To-Pick-Up Mode, Auto-Disconnect, and Translate-To-Mandarin. While the latter is very interesting, it only works from Aramaic ( Read more... )

Funny you should ask.

I have an old phone. I have Credo. I got a new phone. Credo wants me to recycle my old one.

I can give the old one to you - and they'll reset it and give you a month's worth of free domestic calls. Then shut it off.

If you want more (and you will, they rock) - they'll give you the account of your dreams, and give me a bump on my bill.

You want?

The phone is less than two years old and worked great.

This is very intriguing.

I think I need something to cover more than a month, though -- more like 4 or 5.

I really like the notion behind this company. I am pretty set on the Pre, though, and am unwilling to sign contracts until I know for sure that I can use a Pre with it. To date, that seems to mean Sprint.

I am afraid I can't offer you an old phone (I don't have one.) However, I had to comment about something you said:

I'm trying to hang on to a temporary solution until the Pre becomes a reality.

Thank you, you made Kenneth a very happy man. (He works for Palm...)

Kenneth isn't in the marketing or consumer department. He works on the engineering side. He only knows what the PR folks tell him in regards to product placement.

Sorry

Casey used to work for Palm (before even USRobotics acquired them), that's why we tend to be a Palm household now. He likes and trusts them.

We have a ... palm treo 600? But it's sprint-tuned, I dunno if it's what you need. Should I ask Casey? (And you could have it, not borrow it.)

very kind of you, but I've confirmed that transitioning from Sprint to Verizon is non-trivial. I'm stuck with Verizon options for the moment.
