I am going to be having my students do a debate or a socratic seminar on Wednesday (or Thursday, depending) about "sweatshops" in third world countries. One thing that has been part of my Mills Education is the idea of power, privilege, class, and where I fit in and how I can be an ally. This has led me down some very frustrating roads. I think one of the reasons is because no one discusses one challenge I live with everyday and it bugs me that it doesn't matter.
Have you seen it? I am hoping to show it in my economics class on Friday. I am curious to see what others think. It is about 20 minutes long and you can stream it or download it.
