Third draft of thesis is sent to supervisors. Doubtless I'll need to make further changes before I can submit, but at least it's one step closer to the finish line. Maybe I should start thinking "what next?" more seriously now. -

Colloquium went all right. Got a few tough questions at the end of my talk. I thought of all the different ways in which I could've answered them better afterwards. Oh well, at least it's highlighted things I want to emphasize in my thesis.

Still sore from the procedure, but otherwise happy I had it done. Dreamed about heaven while under anaesthesia. I didn't know you could dream while under anaesthesia. I remember waking up and mumbling to the nurses, "Aww, you guys aren't angels!" I suspect that comment had something to do with why they kept me in the recovery unit for so long -

Currently trying to put together a presentation using a stack of papers the cat had peed on. The papers have my supervisor's comments on them, so I can't just go and print another stack. The smell is rather nauseating. Very tempted to just stop preparing the presentation and say tomorrow I haven't done it because the cat peed on my homework. -

This year's first year pract classes finish at 6pm on Fridays in the first semester. Ouch. They probably won't be the most happy chappy bunch. -

Dinner with In-laws and Parents
It went all right. Phew. Although Parents criticized my cooking, while In-laws told me they thought the dinner was great. I guess that's what you get when you're Asian and the only Asian food you can cook is the Westernized version out of a Women's Weekly recipe book.

For anyone interested in Christian healing ministries, there's a freely available audio recording from one of Ken Blue's seminars. I haven't listened to all of it yet, but what I've heard seems sensible and grounded in scriptures and Trinitarian theology. And I have a lot of respect for Ken Blue from reading his book "Healing Spiritual Abuse". -
