Oh, Tortall! (オ！トートル！）
I never thought a day would come where I'd be reading Tamora Pierce's books (Alanna, the First Adventure) in Japanese! I feel like I'm 15 and falling in love with the world of Tortall all over again!
(I persuaded the school librarian to order the Japanese version of the Lioness series and apparently they have been quite a hit with the kids!) -

Exciting things done recently:
1. Last Friday I went to see a theatrical play based on the anime, Hakuouki, which is airing currently. It was really good and made me realise how much I miss theatre studies from GCSE. RIP tablet :(
I am so sad that my not-even-a-year-old Wacom Bamboo tablet is broken! I think I've only used it a total of 4 times. The tablet sensor has gone haywire and becomes activated even when the pen is not touching the tablet, which makes drawing impossible! Reinstalling the program didn't solve the matter. Has anyone else been affected by the untimely eruption of the volcano? I was planning on going to China for Golden Week, and meeting my parents there (who will be flying from UK) this coming Friday, but it doesn't seem likely that the ban on flights from UK across Europe will lift any time soon. Inspired by Japanese folklore
I've been watching Natsume Yuujinchou and have been inspired to draw something involving traditional Japanese 'monsters'. I have also been dying to draw the vermilion colored torii of Japanese shrines so this was a perfect chance. I'm so in love with these shrine gates :)
