Matt and I have found a liddle house to live in, with two bedrooms and a paved garden (hurray for the lawnmower superfluousness.) The landlady seems nice (although we all know that can be deceptive!) and the rent is 'just' affordable. New Year so far has been fairly eventful. I've spent far more money than I can really afford and am now the proud owner of my own copy of Settlers, several videos, and some DVD's, one of which I'm too frightened to watch (Ring!) The black goldfish died and got nibbled by the snails. Speaking of the snails, they've been mating and now we have loads of itty, bitty baby ones. I've separated them from the fish so I can keep an eye on their numbers. Apparently they'll take two years to reach maturity, but then I shall give them away to whoever wants them ( Read more... )

They say you get free delivery if you order before Dec 12th. Then they have a delay on one of your items so you e-mail them to make sure you'll still get your stuff before Christmas. To be 'helpful' they split your order up to guarantee that some of it will turn up in time at no extra cost. Then they charge you delivery anyway ( Read more... )
