IMPORTANT -- EMPRESS NEEDS YOUR HELP

Aug 09, 2005 23:30

Okay, I've been informed by higher powers at the Empress about a serious problem. For example, tomorrow night there will only be three bands playing. Honestly, who wants to spend $10 to watch three bands? Don't you want a longer, better show? Who really wants to go to the Empress to have the show end at 9:30?

PLEASE respond to this post ( Read more... )

I plan on going to the show tomorrow [mainly to see Nightmare of You], and really, I don't mind shows ending at 9:30 on weeknights; in the summer, I have to wake up and go to work, and the rest of the year there's have school. Plus, I don't know about anyone else, but I usually pay said ten dollars to see one or two bands, and then I'm stuck waiting around the rest of the night through many other bands that I would rather not stick around for.

-shrug- I actually just thought it was nice to go to a show at the empress that ended early-ish; but I can see how it could be a money-loser.

As said up there^^... any ska bands. [I'd personally love to see Suburban Legends and/or Taj Motel Trio...] Doesn't matter if they're local or national, or hey, international. They do always seem to draw a good crowd, and I personally always have a fun time. :-)

Also... Tsunami Bomb and Motion City Soundtrack were awesome back in the winter.

Haha sorry bout the lengthy comment, this is what happens when you drink coffe at midnight.
